The Definition of Comfort
Big Land fishing operates two separate accommodations for anglers traveling to Labrador to fish the Pinware and other rivers in the area. We offer a newly renovated lodge and cabins close to the river, and a fully renovated rustic cottage directly on the Atlantic.

The Big Land Lodge
After an amazing day fishing the mighty Pinware River, return to our newly renovated lodge and cabins and relax in comfort and rustic style. The lodge is a few hundred feet from the river and nestled among the forest of Southern Labrador. Even the local wildlife like to visit the lodge. Rooms and bedding are ideal for a restful night's sleep; however, you may want to visit the Whisky Jack Lounge for a nightcap and to tell your tale of the one that got away. Meals are hardy and reflect the local culture of this great province our guides are here to please. The Big Land Fishing Lodge awaits your arrival to provide an unforgettable fishing memory.
The Big Land Cottage
Come and experience this beautiful fully renovated, rustic cottage located directly on the ocean in Labrador, Canada. Enjoy the ocean views in the morning while sipping on a hot cup of coffee on the patio, or have a wood fire on the front lawn while whales splash around you. This cottage is special, and it will provide an experience of a lifetime. Located only 35 minutes from Blanc-Sablon ferry terminal.
Overnight Cabin Excursion
We have a newly renovated cabin located on arguably the best fishing pools on the mighty Pinware River. This cabin has amazing views of the river and is only a stones throw from the waters edge. It is a one room, open concept, small cabin but has a great location and great amenities. There is a generator and solar power, running water, a washroom facility, propane heater, and a stove and BBQ for cooking. Guests will have a fold out Cott and comfortable bedding for sleeping. This is “roughing it” at its finest.
Guests who choose this excursion will be transported to the cabin by boat and can fish till dusk with your guide. Your guide will then leave you for the night and be back at dawn to continue fishing. You can relax that evening to a great meal prepared by our cook that you will bring on your adventure. Sit on the deck or relax in your Cott and listen to nothing but the sounds of the mighty Pinware River. Guests will have radio contact with main lodge at all times.
This special experience is only open to guests who are booked for a package at the main lodge and is limited to one night per group. Max two persons. Cost is $500 USA per person if double occupancy or $750 USA for a single person booking.
